The City of Cloquet Economic Development Authority (EDA) is proud to roll out their marketing campaign Imagine Cloquet – Start Here. Stay Here. Grow Here. This branding strategy marks the culmination of a collaborative effort by the Cloquet EDA and Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce to capture the stories of community partners about being part of Cloquet’s community, workforce, culture, access to outdoor destinations, and their experience in small town America. “We hope this initiative brings awareness to the fact that Cloquet is a place where people don’t just pass through, they experience, they connect, and they belong here because there are big opportunities in small town connections,” shared Lara Wilkinson, Cloquet EDA Commissioner and City of Cloquet City Councilor.
Cloquet’s strength lies not only in its assets and opportunities, but in its people, relationships, and cultural foundation. This includes the presence of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, whose traditions and leadership are integral to the identity of Cloquet. Cloquet plans to grow in a manner that is intentional, inclusive, and sustainable to preserve community character, respect cultural identity and partnerships, and maintain quality of life.
